WHEELTHROWN PRODUCTION POTTER
We are a rapidly growing ceramic design and manufacturing studio located in North Portland, looking for a qualified and enthusiastic ceramicist to join our team.
A high attention to detail is a must - you must be able to consistently & quickly produce flawless multiples of our designs within a quarter inch of our parameters. Experience throwing with porcelain is required for this position, with a minimum of 4 years of consistent wheel throwing experience. Preference will be given to candidates pursing or holding a degree in ceramics. We need someone reliable & independently motivated, who can take constructive criticism in stride and clean up well after themselves. Please note this job is also very physical - you must be able to lift 50 lbs and spend the day working with you hands.
Our production assistants are employees paid a fair percentage of the price of each piece made. This position is part-time, with flex hours. Perfect for a graduate student or someone looking to supplement their income, with the potential for the position to grow into full-time down the road.
