GLAZE LEAD & STUDIO TECHNICIAN
We are a small ceramic design and manufacturing studio located in North Portland looking for the perfect ceramic technician to join our team. This position requires a strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and problem solve constructively, and an ability to perform duties in a proactive and independent manner. 2-3 years of direct experience working in a ceramic studio required; preference will be given to candidates with a ceramic degree and experience working with porcelain. This position is paid hourly (DOE) and is part time, 3-4 weekdays to start. You will be working in tandem with the production manager to keep wares efficiently moving through the studio at our quality standards. Reliable personal transportation required (mileage is reimbursed).

Tasks:
-Loading and unload electric kilns, logging product
-Electric kiln maintenance (changing elements, thermocouples, kiln washing shelves, vacumming)
-glazing bisque ware
-mixing glazes / glaze testing and development
-managing supply inventory
-mixing and recycling clay (experience with a pug mill and mixer preferred)
-weekly studio cleanup + laundry
